Do not fear

do not fear

I can get so wrapped up in looking at the things I have no control over.  Circumstances that we want to change can eat us alive with worry and anxiety.  Thank goodness underarm deodorant was invented.

As we all get swept into this season of joy and celebration, a lot of us just seem to keep holding onto worry and fear over different things in our lives.

In chapters 1 and 2 of Luke, an angel says “Do not fear” to Zecharaiah, Mary and the shepherds.

“Do not fear” – I’ve heard that this command to not fear or be anxious is written over 360 times in the Bible.  More than any other command.  I think God wants our attention in this area.

That’s why I am so excited about the next few weeks at Southbrook Church!  We’re going to talk about the encouragement we can have because of the Good News of Jesus Christ… in spite of our circumstances.  Join us as we begin 3 weeks talking about The Road to Bethlehem.

  2. Outstanding perspective!! Thank you. For me, hoodies are THE best article of clothing ever invented and my teenage son does the same thing. LOL I know one day I will miss sharing my favorite hoodies with him.
