Pastors Conference – Port Au Prince, Haiti

Today we leave for Haiti.  A group of 17 men from Southbrook Church will be going to Port Au Prince to teach and train pastors and ministry leaders.  We will be teaching Biblical truths, Worship methods and leadership principles.  Each of the men on the team has been tasked with teaching on specific topics.  Some of the pastors and leaders in Haiti will be walking over 6 hours to get to the conference.  So we ask for your prayers as we teach God’s truth.  This 3-day conference will be on Nov 16-18.

Fox News reported that the President of Haiti, Michel Martelly is expected to make a decree on Friday that will reinstate a national army.  The army was previously disbanded back in 1995.  So this may add some interesting angles to our trip.

Also on Friday night, we will shift our efforts to holding a 3-night Evangelical Crusade.  Pastor Rob Singleton will be preaching to thousands of Haitians.  The timing of the decree for an army is pretty cool since we’ll be doing the same thing for Jesus Christ the same day!

I’ll be posting updates throughout the week and using twitter as wi-fi allows.
