Waiting must have been the hardest part

Reading through the Bible – Day 4 of 1oo.  Genesis 8 – 9

Noah and his family had to have been ready to get off the ark after spending so much time in it.  I can’t imagine how it must have been spending so much time in uncertainty.  Chapter 8, verse 13 says that Noah knew that the water had subsided and the ground was dry.  Why did he stay in the ark?

It wasn’t until God told him to leave the ark that he and his family actually went outside.  How hard was that to wait on God?

Sometimes I look around and think “OK God, I’m ready to do this, everything is in place”.  But God’s timing is very different from ours and having the patience and seeking His will in all things is more important that going and doing.
